Sike Yo Mind - Come Join The Fun!

By now we all know the only way to properly market an R-rated comedy is to give it the red band trailer treatment, so it can showcase what makes the movie so damn restricted.

All the marketing material for the Will Ferrell basketball comedy SEMI-PRO has been mediocre to lackluster so far, placing this movie somewhere between KICKING AND SCREAMING and BLADES OF GLORY. All that has now changed with the release of the red band trailer, which is one of the funniest I’ve seen yet. It reveals the true tone of this film, which is a far-out descent into male ignorance, chauvinism, and self-indulgence. It also showcases the film’s first-rate cast, which includes Will Arnett, Tim Meadows and Woody Harrelson. But Andre “3000” Benjamin was strangely absent from the trailer, despite his top billing.
